Antique Royal Worcester Demitasse Cup & Saucer, Birds
This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1879. The date letter in the mark indicates this year. The saucer is 4 5/8 inches in diameter and 1 inch deep. The cup is 2 3/8.
It is made of fine, white bone china. The cup is molded with narrow panels and the saucer repeats this design. Exotic looking birds, hand painted in vibrant colors, accent the center of the saucer and sides of the cup. They are painted in fine detail and seem to be calling to each other. There is cobalt blue trim on the rims that have fancy hand gilding.
CONDITION: The saucer has light crazing in the glaze. There are no other imperfections. FOR OUR CUSTOMERS OUTSIDE THE US. The Post Office requires this.
