Four 1914 Royal Crown Derby Demitasse Cups & Saucers #2451

  

This is a family of three dolls to include the mother, sister and brother. They have composition forearms, feet ascending above the ankles and heads. The cloth bodies are intact and the composition heads have wonderful hand painted facial details down to the small smiles on their faces. The mother has molded painted hair, the brother's cap covers any hair that would show and the little sister has black painted hair with attached human hair with red ribbon threaded through her pigtails.

The composition has a few flaws - the mother has a seam crack on both sides of her head, tip of her fingers have losses and the soles of her shoes have losses; the little boy has loss to one finger --- but it appears to have done in the making; the little girl has losses to her fingers on both hands and the back of her head has losses to the composition resulting in a hole - please see photos. The dolls are 7" and 9" and all are wearing their original costumes. The smaller dolls' jackets and trousers are faded with separation from age. Mother's skirt has separation and fading. The cups are barrel shaped and stand approximately 1 7/8 tall and are all in excellent estate found condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. The saucers are approximately 4 in diameter and are also in excellent estate found condition with no chips, cracks or crazing.
