The cups measure 2 5/16" at the top, 1 1/4" at the foot, and 3 1/8 wide. The saucer is 4 5/8 wide. The blue underglaze mark on the saucers reads, Blue Mottahedeh, VA 1824 Portugal.

These cups and saucers are in mint condition; it really doesn't appear they were ever used. There are no chips, cracks crazing or repairs. Please see photos for details. The Making of the Cups.

This unique and rare set of 4 were a series reproduction endorsed by the. Designed by Mottahedeh, New York, the dishes were produced byVista Alegre, Portugal. Vista Alegre manufactured these cups and saucers for a short period of time around 1973; after which they have never been produced again.
