Antique Minton Demitasse Cup & Saucer, Made for Tiffany
This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Mintons in the 1880s. It was produced especially for Tiffany of New York. The saucer has a diameter of 4 ¾ inches and the cup is 2 1/8 inches high. The set is made of fine, white bone china. There are bands of rich embossed gilding encircling each piece. A band of rose colored enamel separates the gilding. The handle is coated in gold. This cup and saucer is an example of simple elegance.
CONDITION: There are a couple of tiny specks of white in the rose colored panel that are hardly visible. It is otherwise in excellent condition.
