Susie Cooper Kestrel Style Teapot & 2 Demitasse Cups & Saucers Tyrol Pattern

  

This is a Susie Cooper teapot and two demitasse cups and saucers. They are in the Kestrel style and the pattern is Tyrol. They are cream with yellow and green highlights.

The teapot measures around 7 3/8 tall to the top of the lid. It is just over 7 wide across from the spout to the edge of the handle. The cups measure 2 1/2" tall and are 2 5/8" across the brim. The saucers measure around 4 3/4 across.

They are in very good pre-owned condition. The two saucers have no chips or cracks. The cups have no cracks. One of the cups has two very small fleabites on the bottom edge (please see photos). The other cup has no chips.

The teapot has no chips. There is one line that looks like a small surface crack (please see photo) as it does not appear to go through the porcelain.

I can't tell if it is in the glaze or the porcelain. The lid of the teapot has no chips or cracks.

All of the pieces have crazing that is so common to this porcelain. There are some spots of missing/rubbed glaze (see photo). There is some roughness to the tip of the spout and the odd spot on the rims but I think that is also in the glaze. The teapot is marked on the bottom in brown Susie Cooper Production - Crown Works.

There is also the pattern "Tyrol" and a number that could be "1530". There is a letter "A" over the S in Susie. The cups are simply marked "Susie Cooper - England" and the saucers are marked in the same fashion as the teapot without the incised "30".
