1913 Royal Crown Derby Kings Pattern 383 Demitasse Cups & Saucers Imari Style
These 4 Royal Crown Derby porcelain demitasse cups and saucers are in the "Kings" pattern. They were made in Derby, England (at the Osmaston Road factory) in 1913/14. They have been hand painted in an Imari style with flowers and abstract shapes in dark blue and rust with 22K gold overlay. The reverse of the saucers/bottom of the cups show a hand painted pattern number (383) and letter?
Artist"s initial and the printed backstamp: ". Royal Crown Derby in a curve above a crown above interlinked D's above the year cypher. All have the 1913 cypher except 1 cup that has the 1914 cypher. The saucers also have an impressed mark "Derby" and numbers? The saucers are 4 1/2" in diameter and the cups are 2 1/8" tall with a 2 1/4 top diameter.
Two of the saucers which have a very small chip on the rim. All are in very good condition with no cracks or crazing and no loss of gilding or glaze. This item is in the category "Pottery & Glass\Decorative Cookware, Dinnerware & Serveware\Cup & Saucers".
