Beautiful vintage Polish porcelain demitasse coffee set in the classic Fryderyka / Friederike form. This set includes five cups and five matching saucers, for a total of 10 pieces. The white porcelain is richly decorated with ornate molded foliate scrolls, extensive gold embellishment, pedestal-style cup bases, sculptural handles, and gold-trimmed rims.

The matching saucers repeat the same elaborate Baroque / Rococo Revival decoration. This decorative version is commonly associated with the Fryderyka "Zloty Lisc" or "Gold Leaf" style produced in the Walbrzych porcelain tradition. 5 demitasse / mokka cups.

Estimated production period: Mid-20th century. Very good vintage condition overall. Four cups appear to be free of chips and cracks. One cup has a very small chip. The flaw is minor, but it is fully disclosed and shown in the photographs.

The saucers appear to be in very good vintage condition. The gold decoration remains attractive and displays beautifully. Minor surface marks, light age-related wear to the gilding, or small manufacturing variations may be present. Please review all photographs carefully, especially the close-up of the small chip.

The Fryderyka form is associated with the historic porcelain-making tradition of Walbrzych, formerly Waldenburg in Silesia. The "Zloty Lisc" or "Gold Leaf" decorative style is known for its elaborate molded relief, heavy gilding, and ornamental foliate scrollwork. Small cups in this form were intended for mokka or demitasse coffee service and are smaller than standard tea cups. Hand washing is strongly recommended to protect the extensive gold decoration.
