Royal Doulton Demitasse 4 Cups 4 Saucers Urn Pink Bands Yellow Trim HP 1922-1927

  

DESCRIPTION: This superb quality china has yellow trim that is bright and vivid on an white background. This has a wide yellow trim on the rim.

The colors used are pink, blue, yellow, and green on white. The flowers in the outer garland and the inner medallion in the urn are artfully hand enameled with brilliant colors. The pattern is so pretty with a classic look. CONDITION: While these demitasse cup & saucer sets are classified as used, the condition is superb. One cup does have some minor browning around the outside of the foot. The crazing that is visible in the photo does not show to the naked eye. See photos #23 & #24. There are no chips, nicks, cracks, rubbings or hairlines. There is no wear to the yellow trim or the paint and no utensil marks. DIMENSIONS: The smooth rimmed saucers have a diameter of 4 3/8" with a height of 1/2".

The cups have a diameter of 2 3/8" and a height of 2 1/8" with a capacity of 2 ounces. Pinder left the business in 1882 and it was reconstituted under the name Doulton & Co. The Royal Warrant and the right to use "Royal" in the name of its products were granted in 1901.
