Set of 6 Hammersley Rowland Ward Nairobi Kenya Birds Demitasse Cups & Saucers 1939 + Set of 6 British bone china demitasse cups and saucers. Each cup is decorated with a different bird. With gold gilding along the edge.

Marked on the bottom Hammersley & Co Bone China Made in England. This mark was used starting in 1939.

Also marked Rowland Ward Nairobi Kenya. Included are African Hoopoe, Malachite Kingfisher, Tacazee Sunbird, Fine Banded Woodpecker, Black Headed Oriole, and Superb Starling. These have some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition.

Each cup measures approximately 2 7/8 inches wide x 2 1/2 inches tall. Each saucer measures approximately 4 5/8 inches wide. These are vintage and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the pieces.
