A Shelley Art Deco Diamonds 11772 RARE Vogue coffee / demitasse cup & saucer

  

A Shelley Art Deco "Diamonds" 11772 RARE Vogue coffee / demitasse cup & saucer (Never seen a coffee cup & saucer before in this pattern only tea wares). Pattern No 11772 Diamonds: Orange, black and green diamonds with grey bands and lines. Entered in pattern book during or after 1930. This pattern was only produced on the Vogue shape however as with all Vogue patterns the coffee cups are the same as the Mode shape cups and saucers.

The Mode & Vogue shapes were only produced between 1930 & 1932. Dimensions: diameter of cup footed base 40mm (1.5 inches) / diameter across top of cup 71mm (2.75 inches) / height of cup 63mm (2.5 inches) / diameter of saucer 114mm (4.5 inches). Condition: Both pieces are in very good clean condition with no chips, cracks, rubbing, scratching, visible crazing or signs of wear. All paintwork / enamelling is in very order with no fading to the pattern. The saucer has a thick glaze on it which dullens the "ping" a little compared to the cup which has a clear "ping" to it. Please note that we are experienced packers of pottery and fine bone china, this item will securely packaged, wrapped with plenty of bubble wrap and secured with flo pack chippings to ensure it's safe arrival.
