Antique Schumann Bavaria Germany Demitasse Cups & Saucers Parrots, Exotic Birds

  

Circa 1920's - This stunning set of antique Schumann Bavaria demitasse cups and saucers includes 12 pieces: 6 demitasse cups and 6 saucers. The cups are hand painted with colorful macaws on a white background and trimmed with wide bands of bright yellow and garlands of gold gilding.

Each cup has a floral spray on the reverse with blue and pink flowers and green leaves. The saucers are white with wide yellow rims decorated with garlands and rings of gold gilding. There are two separate bird motifs included in the set; three demitasse cups of each scene.

All pieces are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks, no repairs. Some minor paint loss due to age as noted in photos.

Cups measure approximately 3.25 inches tall with 2 inch diameter. Saucers measure approximately 5 inch diameter. I try my best to describe any issues or problems with items. Vintage and used items have lived previous lives and may have flaws. Please check all photos very carefully and feel free to ask any questions.

Comes from a smoke free home. Reminder, extreme temperature changes can shock vintage glass. When you receive a package containing vintage glass, or any glass really, please leave it inside for 24-48 hours and allow it to warm up slowly before opening. Often, packing materials act as an insulator and keep glass cold for longer periods of time. A quick change in temperature may crack the glass.
