Both pieces are decorated with beautiful 24 K gold embellishment on a vivid yellow background. Both the cup and saucer have scalloped edges and the saucer has a ribbed paneled design.
Inside the rim on the cup is a gilded floral swag design and the cup has a dainty gilded handle. Also marked with the name "Ovington Brothers" for retailers in New York City and Brooklyn NY. Coalport porcelain has always been highly acclaimed for the quality of the china as well as for their artistic designs.
John Rose began the Coalport Porcelain Company in England in the 18th Century. Both pieces are in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws and no wear to the gilding. The saucer measures 5/8" high and 4 3/4" in diameter. The cup is 2 1/8" high and 2 1/8" in diameter at the top.
