Herend Rothschild demitasse coffee/choc pot. Pot is in the bird pattern. Coffee pot is complemented with a lovely yellow rose finial.

The pattern itself was inspired by a story from the Rothschild family. The story goes that one day Baroness Rothschild went for a stroll in her garden in Vienna and lost the pearl necklace she was wearing. An exhaustive search by her sta yielded nothing. A few days later, a gardener noticed the birds were excitedly chirping and uttering around something and he went over to investigate.

That is when he discovered the birds had taken a liking to the Baroness necklace which was caught on a tree branch. Diminutive in size but gorgeous in character. 7 inches tall to finial top.

5 and 3/4 inches from spout to handle. Pale green vine handle with gold and white. Decorated with birds, butterflies, and insects. The diverse pattern constitutes of 12 different couple of birds, and its the nature lovers favourite pattern.

The painted birds symbolize relationships, love and the two sexes finding each other. The couple of birds and the colourful butterflies and little bugs scattered around them create a real nature-like environment.
