Schumann Dresden COURTING COUPLES FLORAL PANELS Set 6 Demi-Tasse Cups & Saucers

  

Here is a set of six (6) vintage decorative demitasse / espresso cups and saucers. Made by SCHUMANN DRESDEN Bavaria, Germany in hard paste porcelain.

Delicate FLORAL panels alternating with COURTING COUPLES all with gold filigree details - designs obviously inspired by Meissen. Sprays of flowers on the inside.

This is the older Schumann Dresden mark likely from the 1940s. All designs are transfer printed but have the appearance of being hand painted. There are two each of blue, yellow and green cups with matching saucers. In excellent undamaged vintage condition with no chips or cracks and all pieces do "ping" when tapped. All six cups and the two blue saucers are marked as shown in photo with the old blue Schumann mark; the two yellow and two green saucers are unmarked (but an obvious match). Cups measure 2 1/4" / 5 cm tall at sides; saucers are 4 1/4" / 10 3/4 cm across. Please ignore all white spots on photos caused by camera flash. This beautiful set would make an impressive addition to your collection. I do try and describe my items accurately. Please examine all photos carefully to make your own determination of condition.
