
This is a set of demitasse china cups and saucers that dates to the 1920s from Leigh Potters. It is marked as Leigh Ware.
It is the Moderne shape that was designed by J. Base china is a lovely natural light tan titled Umber by Leigh Potters. The potter was based in Alliance, Ohio from 1926 to 1931. The pieces are in very good condition with no chips or cracks and appear unused. Each piece has light crazing.
Bottom mark is very strong on each saucer with outline of the state of Ohio. Cups measure 2 1/2 inches across the opening and about 2 inches tall. Saucers measure 4 5/8 inches across. A wonderful period set with Ohio River styling that reminds of HLC Riviera. Very hard to find these pieces without chips or cracks. Leigh Potters China - Leigh Ware Demitasse Cups and Saucers.
