WHITE STAR LINE 1St C DEMITASSE CUP AND SAUCER 1904-05 STONIER & CO. LIVERPOOL
Both pieces are authentic hand painted antiques bearing the White Star Line logo, which are further identified on the undersides with a registration mark and the date of manufacture. The base of the cup base reads RN 117214 and RN 324028 7/1905 While the saucer is 8/1904.
[5.75 cm] (cup) is in perfect condition ;however, the saucer does have a hairline crack (see all images) but as you can see it does not impair the way it looks on display. The hand painted turquoise & brown design on the surround is well known by collectors as the'Wisteria' pattern & the white field sports the WSL company name beneath the White star flag (also called a burgee) Furthermore, identical examples have been retrieved from the wreckage of RMS Titanic and can be seen on display in one of the traveling exhibition's across the globe.
