Antique Coalport Porcelain Demitasse Cup Saucer COBALT Gold Design Beautiful

  
This is an Antique Coalport Porcelain Demitasse Cobalt Cup &Saucer. Both cup and saucer are in good antique condition. It is a beautiful deep cobalt blue that is difficult to capture in a photo. No cracks or repairs, but there is wear to the gold trim associated with age and use. The gold inside the cup has significant wear at the bottom from spoon use (I assume) and the saucer shows wear in the center from the cup contact. The handle also shows some wear. There is an area on the base of the cup that looks like a very small flea bite that is covered with gold - I do not know if this happened at the factory or was done by a previous owner. It is shown in the photo of the cup bottom, the lowest corner. The gold moriage texturing on the outside seems to be missing some raised areas, though the gold is still present so the design is clear.
