Antique Heufel Demitasse Cup & Saucer, Cherub
CONDITION: 2 tiny enamel beads are missing from the cup. This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Heufel Dresden in the 1880s. The cup is artist signed. The saucer measures 3 1/4 inches by 3 1/4 inches. The cup is1 7/8 inches tall and the opening is 1 1/2 inches by 1 1/2 inches.
The set would be considered a miniature. There is an adorable hand painted cherub with flowers and butterflies on the front of the cup. The border on the cup and ground color of the saucer is burgundy red. The saucer is accented with scrolled gilding and tiny white enamel beads. The border of the cup is beaded and gilded as well.
It is uncommon to find a square demitasse cup and saucer. FOR OUR CUSTOMERS OUTSIDE THE US.
