Antique Minton Demitasse Cup Saucer Turquoise French Enamel Attributed to Christopher Dresser. Condition on this lovely hand enameled and gold encrusted cup and saucer is very good. No chips, cracks or crazing. The gold is in excellent condition.

Bottom of cup shows some wear to the foot. The base of cup does not have a Minton mark or cypher year mark but it does bear the letter/number combination G2190 in red and also off to the right a red 7. The saucer is marked with a puce Minton globe mark and England. The saucer is not original to the cup. It is a later piece dating to about 1912.

Saucer measures 5 inches diameter. Cup is 3 inches in height and 2 5/8 inches across. The colors used in the asian influenced design are turquoise, pink, yellow and gold with dots of deep purple. The enamel is rich and lush. You can feel the raised detail to the enamel upon touch.

The gold band at top of cup is a greek key pattern. A wonderful and fine English porcelain cup and saucer!
