Exquisite Antique Donath Co Dresden Encrusted Gold & Floral Cabinet Demitasse Cup Saucer. Extremely Rare & Delicate - Magnificent.

Presented for your consideration is this exquisitely decorated, extremely fine porcelain demitasse cup and saucer, hand painted baroque design upon a Rosenthal blank in Dresden, Germany, by the fine artisans and craftsmen at Donath & Co. Beautifully decorated with heavily encrusted and applied beaded gold scalloped rims, gold encrusted garlands separated by multi-colored various flowers, with more gold in center surrounding a single blossom on saucer, with heavily gold gilded handle and feet of cup, which also has an intricate border of floriated gold swirls on inner rim.

Saucer measures 4 1/8" (10.5cm) Diameter, and cup is 2 3/8" (6cm) High x 2 3/8" (6cm) Top Diameter and 2 5/8" (6.5cm) Wide from rim to handle. WE ARE ALWAYS OVERLY DECRIPTIVE IN OUR ASSESSMENT OF IMPERFECTIONS. Saucer is in excellent vintage condition, with no damage and barely. A tiny (3mm x 1mm) nick just left of handle on rim with nearly no porcelain missing, with a hairline crack from this point downward about 3/4 of the way to bottom, only very slightly visible on exterior as it stops at top of handle - the placement of the crack is unlikely to get worse, as the extra porcelain on handle has reinforced the area. A thin nick on front outer rim about 3mm x 3mm, but has not reached the interior, and has been touched up (not by us), so difficult to notice at first glance. Hallmark is a double hallmark: Gold encrusted flower over R. (Rosenthal) Crossed swords and Blue DRESDEN beneath crown (DONATH ALWAYS COVERED FACTORY THAT MADE THE BLANK WHICH THEY DECORATED).
