Royal Copenhagen Red Fluted Full Lace Demitasse Cup & Saucer Antique 1890s-As Is

  

This antique demitasse cup and saucer set from Royal Copenhagen features the stunning Red Fluted Full Lace pattern, also referred to as Purple Fluted. The set includes a saucer and a demitasse cup, both made of high-quality porcelain.

The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/2 inches and the cup has a height of 2 inches and is 2 1/4 wide, not including the handle. This original piece was manufactured in Denmark between 1894 and 1900, and has a printed backstamp.

The cup has a hairline crack going from the rim of the side down through the base and up to the front rim. The cup is still very stable and even gives a nice ring when gently flicked. There is some wear to the gold trim on the inner rim of the cup and wear to the gold on the handle. The saucer has one small chip on the edge of one of the points. There are no other issues, and it is a beautiful antique set of porcelain in this wonderful and rare pattern.
