These are in great shape with no cracks. I would consider them a demitasse style mug as they are a smaller mug. A pop or pit may be normal from production.

The diameter of the saucer is approximately five inches. The diameter at the top of the mug is approximately two inches and it stands approximately two and three quarter inches tall. The background color is a darker blue with lighter blues and green design. The pieces are not marked Doug Wylie that I can see but two of the saucers have a sticker which reads Doug Wylie Original Clayfish Designs. Made in San Francisco USA.

This is a heavy pottery mug and saucer with a whale tail as the handle. The white spot on the handle area must be from manufacturing. It is not a break and not a weak spot.

It feels rough but I have noticed each mug has this white area in a similar location.
