Carl Thieme Dresden Hand Painted Floral Encrusted Demitasse Cup & Saucer Circa 1901 Very pretty porcelain demitasse cup and saucer. Decorated with hand painted flowers in purple, pink, orange, blue and yellow. With floral encrustation in pink, purple, orange, blue and yellow.

The cup has an entwined handle with gold gilt highlights. Marked on the bottom with a blue mark above Dresden, used by Carl Thieme starting in 1901. Has some wear to the gilding and several chips to the floral encrustation, which is typical of this type of porcelain, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks to the porcelain body. The cup measures approximately 3 1/8 inches wide including the handle x 1 5/8 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 4 1/4 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display-ability of the piece.
