Absolutely stunning that this cup and saucer set has made it 215 years without a scratch or chip on it! To put it in perspective... Napoleons first reign lasted from May 18th, 1804 to April 6th 1814. Beautiful mythological scene on front of cupid with wings and flute or Aulos. He is depicted with two dancing maidens.

All hand done in exquisite detail, featuring gold blue and white as the principal colors with a lovely peachy color for the skin of cupid and his maidens. Amazing to think that porcelain, because of its rarity and delicate nature, used to be reserved for kings and queens. This is a truly lovely piece, some small wearing to the gilt but overall no issues whatsoever. Measures roughly 3.25in in total height (as cup sits on saucer) with the mouth of demitasse cup measuring roughly 2.75in across. Please feel free to ask any questions.
