Hand Painted "Love Story" Fragonard. This pattern features courtship scenes. From around 1949 if I. Backstamp as made by NC Bavaria with a blue beehive mark.

This lovely cup sits on 3 legs. It looks so elegant and is so dainty. Cup Measures 2 1/8" tall and 1 3/4" wide at the rim. Measures 4 1/8 in diameter.

Excellent condition--no chips, cracks, crazing or other damage. Jean-Honore Fragonard (1732 - 1806) was a French painter and print maker.

Considered to be one of the masters of French painting, he was a prolific artist producing more than 550 painters; his most popular works focused on scenes of intimacy and eroticism, with one of his more famous and recognizable works being The Swing. Take a close look at the photos.
