Lenox Stratford Maroon & Cream Demitasse Cup and Saucer Set Gold Trim 1306/R417R

  
This is an extremely rare demitas/espresso Lenox Stratford Maroon & Cream colored cup and saucer set with gold trim. There's a lot of blue out there but it is very difficult to find maroon/wine/burgundy (see photos). Hand painted on back of cup in gold: 1306/R417R. It is also stamped with the Lenox logo made in USA, and has an impressed LENOX and a code I cannot make out. It also has stamped very faintly a phrase "made expressly for" just above the code I cannot read.

You can only see this when holding the cup at a certain angle. I placed this as the second photo and placed it as a different color to help highlight that phrasing. Hand painted on back of saucer and gold: R417R. This is like new condition. Received this as a gift, did not retain original packaging because I was younger and more concerned about recycling than keeping!

Beautiful gold and maroon trim around edge of saucer and edge of cup. Saucer measures approximately 4.75 inches across. Demitasse cup measures approximately 2 5/8 inches wide at mouth NOT including handle. There were a total of 2 cups and two saucers available at the time this listing was created.
