Here we have a very scarce set of 6 porcelain demitasse/espresso cup and saucer sets from Rosenthal's (Germany) Studio Linie line in the black and white Day and Night pattern on the Suomi shape. This pattern was in production for less than a year, making pieces in it quite scarce today. The Suomi shape has been quite popular, used with many patterns with which this one coordinates well. Vintage: this pattern was introduced and retired in 1990.

Condition : Our photographs reveal the condition best -- please enlarge and zoom in on them, and examine them carefully. Very clean and fresh pieces in minty condition, showing no signs of use or abuse. Basically as mint as pre-owned 40-year old white porcelain comes.

No cracks, chips, stains, crazing, or scratches, not even the completely colorless kind. Not a single mark of any type, inside or out. We consider funky odors (cigarette smoke, mildew, etc) to be an important part of a condition report.
