This is a set of 2 demitasse cups and saucers, made in England between 1892 and 1890 by what was to soon become the Royal Doulton Co. At this time, the "Royal" and thus the crown, were not a part of the mark - the word "Doulton's" is impressed on the back of these pieces. They are also marked by the probable painted, JB 910 - 910 being the pattern number. Each saucer measures 4 3/4 in diameter (12 cm). The cups measure 2 1/2 in (5 5/8 cm) across and the same high. Notice that each cups and each saucer are different - and after 143 years the colors remain clear and precise - what a legacy!
