The saucer is decorated with a hand painted pink roses and small purple flower over white framed by a gold beaded oval. With a border of hand painted small pink roses with raised gold scrollwork vines, turquoise enameled jewels / beads and gold beads. Green band along the edge with gold circles and dots.
The cup is marked on the base Hand Painted RC Nippon in green and red. This mark was used between 1911 and 1921.
The saucer is unmarked, but probably made during the Nippon era of Japanese porcelain, circa 1891 to 1921. The cup and saucer are not a matching original set, but look nice together. These have some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. The cup measures approximately 2 5/8 inches wide including the handle x 2 1/8 inches tall.The saucer measures approximately 4 1/8 inches wide. These are antiques and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the pieces.
